Hall of Paride

The hall is particularly evocative in the pictorial decoration because of the peculiar effects of "trompe l’oeil." Two scenes drawn from the myth of Paride can be observed from feigned windows while from feigned doors the inhabitants of the villa welcome the guest according to the lesson of Paolo Caliari, known as the "Veronese."
